Housed in a smartly renovated early 19th century farmhouse, the Clubhouse at Acoaxet Club provides you with an “experience” like no other. From the deliciously fresh cuisine offered in a setting of casual elegance to the quaint Bed & Breakfast experience provided by our 6 Cape Cod style guest rooms. Add to this the majestic views of our pristinely manicured golf course, the meandering Westport River and the expansive Atlantic Ocean beaches and you have a setting that can only be described as idyllic.
Throughout the “Season”, the Clubhouse bustles with excitement generated by a wide array of activities ranging from fun-filled animated puppet shows for our “junior” members to sophisticated gourmet wine dinners. Our staff continuously strives to make your every visit to the Clubhouse an enjoyable one whether it be a casual lunch with friends on one our outdoor decks or an elegant dinner party to commemorate one of life’s milestones.

Room Rental Information & Club Policies
The Acoaxet Club is situated in Westport Harbor with breathtaking panoramic views of our 9-hole golf course, the Atlantic Ocean and its beaches, the Westport River, Cuttyhunk Island and the beautiful surrounding countryside. Westport is halfway between Providence, RI and the top of Cape Cod, but we are 20 minutes in from the highway. We are pleased to offer Clubhouse accommodations to our members and their guests.
All of our rooms are located in the main clubhouse, on the 2nd and 3rd floors. They are decorated in traditional Cape Cod style. The rooms have wall heaters and window a/c units. Prices include a complimentary continental breakfast (in season) and limited privileges for golf, tennis and use of the dining room when it is open in season. The rooms are available for rent from June 1st to September 30th. Rooms are available for Weddings or groups renting in May and October, if using at least 4 rooms. There is a $25 per day charge for 3rd/4th person in room. (9.7% MA state room tax is extra). In season, a two night minimum on weekends is preferred. - Upon arrival at the Clubhouse, take the staircase to the 2nd floor landing. A table in hall will provide your room assignment . Your key will be found in the lock on the room door. The keychain includes a key to the front door of the Clubhouse. Rooms 1-4 are marked on the 2nd floor. Rooms 5 & 6 are marked on the 3rd floor. Stairway to 3rd floor is down the hallway, turn left, door is immediately on your left.
- Check-in is 4:00pm and check-out is 11:00am on day of departure.
- The Clubhouse is not staffed around the clock. If you plan on arriving after hours please advise the management so that key arrangements can be made as front door keys accompany your room key.
- Housekeeping service is included and is available from daily.
- TV in 1st floor sitting room only; none in rooms; Telephone for local calls in 2nd floor hallway.
- Wifi is available, but service can be temperamental and may not work from inside all rooms; usually works best from the outer decks. Wifi is AcoaxetPublic
- The Dining room is available to our guests when it is open in season (late June – end Sept.) Meals and drinks ordered will be added to your room (please advise staff in dining room of your room #) and charged to your credit card. Proper dress required for dining. Please continue on for Dress Code, Smoking Policy and Cell Phone Policy.

Our dining room opens approximately June 25th and closes for lunch on Labor Day. Dinner
service may continue on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday evenings until September 30th.

Swimming and Sunbathing are available just a short walk (15 min) or drive (3 min) at Elephant Rock Beach Club. Cold Shower & Changing area & bathrooms available. No food available. Bring your own towels and beach chairs. A parking pass will be provided for duration of stay. Elephant Rock Beach Club is a private, members & guests only club and we ask that you kindly observe/follow all rules while there. The beach is for Acoaxet Club House guests only and we are sorry but you may not bring “other” friends/family not staying at Acoaxet.

Dress Code - Clubhouse
1. Proper attire is always expected. Appropriate casual “country club” attire is
acceptable at lunch time, on “Family Night,” on the West deck at dinner, and after
athletic activities on Friday evenings. Collared shirts are required at all times at
lunch or dinner for gentlemen except that a “tee shirt” that is appropriate for tennis
play may be worn at lunch with tennis clothing. Gentlemen are required to wear a
jacket and are welcome to wear a tie on Saturday evenings.
2. The following are not considered to be acceptable at any time in the Clubhouse
or on the decks: bathing suits, beachwear, loud tee shirts, tank tops, halter tops,
tube tops, short shorts, cargo shorts, jeans of any type, bare feet, spiked golf
shoes or other obviously inappropriate attire. Shorts should meet the
requirements to play golf or tennis.
3. Athletic hats shall not be worn in the dining room or on the decks.
Smoking is not permitted in any Guest Rooms, hallways, bathrooms or other part of the Clubhouse.
Smoking is not permitted at the Acoaxet Club in the following locations and
places: the Clubhouse, to include the East or West decks and the stairs and
entryways leading thereto; the Pro Shop, to include the Pro Shop and Club office
decks and stairs and the entrances leading thereto; the Men’s and Ladies’ locker
rooms and the walkways leading thereto.
Cell Phone Policy – Clubhouse Guests
Cell phones may be used in room and in the Clubhouse for talking after “Club” hours only, provided that use does not disturb or interfere with any member or other guests. Use of electronic devices for games, email, messaging etc. shall be silent and discreet.
During regular Club hours (daytime/evening), the use of cell phones for talking shall be restricted to quiet use in the parking lot and may not be used for calls anywhere else on the Club grounds. Use of electronic devices for games, email, messaging etc. shall be silent and discreet
